![]() ![]() ![]() Don't worry if you lack information another wanderer can always fill it in. ![]() Remember that you have creative freedom in how you choose to portray your discoveries-though, ask yourself whether a lost wanderer who views your level entry can effectively navigate it using your information. Understand that you must create a piece of documentation that is immersive and descriptive enough so that your readers who traverse the level you're documenting know just as much as you do. Please keep this in mind when you ultimately create a new-level document in our database. Remember that numbers are arbitrary-in most cases, the level's number does not correlate with the level's properties. Levels can change over time or even stop existing-whenever this happens, a different space will replace the old level, which will cease to exist in this database but can be found in our archives. We urge you not to linger on any single level unless there is documentation proving its safety. Each sub-level will have a different tone while maintaining a similar atmosphere. They are not merely "different rooms" on a parent level. Many sub-levels continue the theme of their parent level, albeit with a different twist, justifying the creation of a separate page. However, because sub-levels are technically not direct continuations of their parent levels, we have decided to number this category of levels as a decimal number, with the integer portion being the parent level. Levels may have "sub-levels", often considered the "in-between" levels they are levels with a direct connection to their parent level but lack enough distinguishing qualities to be labeled with their number. We must warn you that the Backrooms do not abide by the normal laws of the universe-physics is pushed aside for more chaotic fundamentals. View some of the levels' photographs, and you may point your finger and say, "This place looks familiar. Many of these levels represent what is known as "liminal spaces", evoking an eerie feeling inside the minds of their inhabitants. Some levels are home to sustained communities, while others pose major threats to the life inside them. Levels are diverse in size, stability, and safety, and are the blueprint of the Backrooms. ![]()
